Is Article Marketing oficially dead?

If you have you been writing articles lately, you probably are wasting your time. Did you know that there is someone who claims that Article Marketing is officially dead?

I’ve been in Jason Better’s list for a while now. He is the owner of Better Networker, an amazing Social Community for Home Business owners.

But he also has a personal blog, jasonbetter.com. This blog is becoming a growing community too. He always has new and interesting posts there. One of the things that I like the most is how he answers to the comments. This is just a proof that he talks to real people and not to search engines or wallets.

In his most recent post, “Article Marketing is officially dead” he proposes that Article Marketing is the last thing you want to do to promote your business (or yourself, for that matter). It’s provocative and fun to read.

New FTC guidelines and internet marketing: What CAN you do to comply with the FTC?

Unless you have been hiding behind a 10 feet pile of laundry, decided to take a break from checking the Internet, or just in denial, you probably know that the Federal Trade Commission has new rules and guidelines. They can affect your Work At Home Business.

There has been so much buzz about the New FTC guidelines that I was confused and didn’t even know what to do or what to avoid doing.

But thanks to Ann Sieg I have a clear view of the things I can do. She invited Copywriting Guru David Garfinkel to lead a Webminar called Customer Friendly Marketing. If there is one more piece of information you can have about the New FTC Guidelines and your Internet Business, this is it.

Why I like Facebook

I’ve been thinking about something that happened over the weekend with my Facebook account. We spent Thanksgiving with my In Laws and one of those days my sister in law told me that she got something from me through Facebook and that it looked suspicious.

I went to check and indeed, I was receiving my own “Get rich working online” spam. Although I do promote Online Marketing, using my Facebook account to spam my followers with a simple “click here to get rich” is a big NO-NO.

Obviously, my account had been hacked.

Thankfully, Facebook detected the suspicious activity and suspended my account until I changed my password and confirmed it was me using it. That is why I like Facebook. I can trust it. I know that if something like this happens in the future (I hope not), they will take care of me and protect me against hackers. At the same time, they protect my followers from getting spam.

If for some reason you still don’t have an account, get one now. As a Stay At Home Working from Home, Facebook in one great way to connect with family, friends, costumers, potential costumers, like minded people, other WAHMs and SAHMs, leaders in the industry, etc. You will be protected. You can trust them.

Network Marketing Moms Using Internet in MLM

By Angelica RiedI remember when I was first introduced to Internet and its ability to present information in real time, almost 15 years ago. How powerful! It was like magic. I would have never imagined that I would be using Internet to build a business, let alone a Network Marketing business! But, how does it work? How do you build an online MLM business? Is it faster than offline methods? This article offers answers to these questions from a Network Marketing mom’s perspective.

Internet has affected the way relationships are built. From sending emails and taken-five-minutes-ago pictures to meeting classmates you haven’t seen in ages, you can not only preserve and continue but create new relationships online. I can communicate with family and friends and tell them about my children, but I can also communicate a message about my business. If you can find answers to your questions, you can as well be the one giving tips, advice, knowledge, experience and wisdom. For building an MLM business online, you have to share something valuable related to the subject.

How do you communicate your message online? There are different ways to do marketing in Internet. You can use written material (articles, comments, emails, newsletters, answers, reports, etc) as well as media (audio and video). You can create your own resources or use other people’s. You are an MLM Mom; I bet you have plenty of stories and things you have learned already. You can market that in your website, blog, groups and forums you belong to, classified ads, etc. There are many ways to do it for free so it does not have to be a big expense in your business budget.

Using Internet in MLM does not mean that the social interaction is omitted. It’s just another way to reach prospects that are looking for what you have to offer. We build a relationship when they read what we write or see our videos. It takes time and effort like any other method. Is it faster? Not necessarily. As always, it depends on you and your willingness to learn, do, and be patient. Your business will thank you.

As I was preparing a new post in my blog Network Marketing Moms.blogspot.com about personal development, I “discovered” a wonderful website. I use wuotes because it’s actually pretty famous and I’ve heard about this gentleman before.

His name is Steve Pavlina. He is one of the best in Personal Development and his website is so rich in free information that I had to comment about it. In case you haven’t check it out yet, you have to go there and bookmark his website.

Personal Development includes different aspects and Steve Pavlina does a great job breaking it in themes and areas of your life that the website will help you with. He even helps the visitor suggesting a way to start using the website.

One of the things I like the best about Network Marketing is the importance of working on our personal growth. There is no way around it. Personal development is so important for so many areas of our lifes that our businesses won’t take off until we learn some of its basic principles.

Using the Internet in Network Marketing – Two Things Network Marketing Moms Need to Know

One of the benefits a Network Marketing business offers is being able to spend time with your family. This makes it very attractive for moms, whether staying home or working outside the house. But upon starting the business road, one can realize that the “work from home” advantage is not so much so when you have to leave the house to go to meetings.

Trying to balance a job, a family and a new career can be overwhelming. So, what’s a mom to do? Take advantage of the technology! When deciding to use Internet in Network Marketing is important to know two things: the power and limits of Internet, and the willingness you need to replace certain activities. This article offers basic information regarding these two topics.

The power of using Internet in Network Marketing lies in its potential to bring qualified prospects to us, people who are interested in, and looking for, what we have. One very attractive aspect of marketing online is that you can have different streams of income or quick cash that can be reinvested in your business. It maximizes time and exposure but it does not mean that your down line is going to be built automatically (wouldn’t that be nice?).

You are going to be home but the limit to that is the temptation to tend children and house chores instead of being productive. Is it going to be effective? It depends on how willing you are to take the time to learn and do the activities that are going to bring results.

Even if you like giving presentations, you need to replace certain activities if you are going to use Internet to build a Network Marketing business. It goes from putting together an attractive website to building a strong online presence. It takes time, effort and patience.

If you have been thinking about using the Internet in Network Marketing but still have doubts about it, then it’s time to do some research. The Internet offers so many possibilities that not using it for marketing is being left behind.

With the right mentor who teaches you the most productive ways to empower your business online, a good action plan and the willingness to go the extra mile, you can build a MLM business using the Internet as its backbone. Stay at Home Mom – How Can You Work at Home?

For many Stay At Home Moms entertaining the idea of going back to work, the thought of leaving the children in daycare (as good as it might be) is heart wrenching. We want to be there as much as possible. It’s then when the possibility of Working At Home becomes more attractive. But, what are our options? Can we do it? Do we have to stop paying attention to our children? This article offers simple answers to these questions.

The options for working at home can be divided in two big categories: jobs and businesses. Many companies are opening positions that seem ideal for Stay At Home Moms. From medical billing to paid surveys, they offer fair pay and the flexibility that allows you to finish an assignment at a more convenient pace. Home businesses also offer the advantage of setting your own hours with the added benefit of being your own boss, among other perks. You are responsible for your work and your earnings. Either option requires that you give something to get something.

The most important thing you have to give is time. It’s surprising how consuming housework can be. A Stay At Home Mom has to juggle chores, schedules, finances, etc. If we are going to add something extra (alas, working from home) we have to be aware that any new activity, in order to be successful, requires time and effort. Time management and discipline are essential. Not only how many hours a day you are going to devote to work, but for how long you are going to stay committed.

The commitment to our children comes first. That means accepting that sometimes we will have to rearrange our work schedule if we have to tend to stuffed noses or help with homework. It also means teaching them that we have a responsibility to our job or business. Maybe you can even think about ways of getting the kids involved. And you have to learn to maximize your time through leverage. In this aspect, using the Internet is a must.

Either with a job or a home business, a Stay At Home Mom can work at home. It takes dedication and discipline but the rewards are worth it. Part of being a good mom is to have good self esteem, and working from home might be good for your confidence. Do your research and make a decision!

SEO, Social Media and PPC don’t work if you don’t…

I just read a great article about how Social Media, SEO, PPC and any tool to generate leads have little to do with success if you don’t listen.

Mike Klingler built a multi million dollar business using the Internet in two years. And he started from scratch. His success comes from his listening and coaching skills, and in his article “Why I treat SEO, Social Media an PPC all the same- While making lead generation easy” he explains how this is possible. He also gives a couple of links to important webminars.

Listening is one of the most important, if not THE most important skill in Network Marketing. Either offline or online, we need to listen to ourselves and others. This reminds me of how much we need this skill in our work as moms. We want our children to listen to us but we have to remember to listen to them too!

Read this article and make an effort to watch and listen to the resources Mike shares. I was in the call with Dr. Ellie Drake and it’s loaded with wisdom and enlightening.

Copywriting tips: Copywriting on a Budget

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about Copywriting. More and more I think it’s an art. It’s the art of writing compelling ads, titles, emails, etc so your readers are influenced to take action.

This “action” can be opt in into your Newsletter, buy from you, go to another page, etc.

In his article, Copywriting on a Budget – 2 Totally FREE Ways to Begin Learning Copywriting Dr. Bob Clarke does exactly that: giving away two free (really, no catch, no gimmicks) ways to start learning Copywriting.

I’m a little more familiar with the second one but I’m almost ashamed to admit that I didn’t think about the first one. It’s so easy and simple! And I’m sure that for many Network Marketing Moms it’ll be one of the sure things to do because we already spend time there.
